Big 7s CSX Repaints

I'm getting more and more interested in early to mid 90's railroading. Therefore, does anybody know of some quality CSX repaints of DTMs Big 7s pack? And if not could somebody make some? If it's not too hard, that is.

It would be helpful if you could find some pictures of the prototype and post them here.

Due to rivet counters the reprints are officially canceled. There, you guys happy?

There will always be "those people". This forum seems to be filled with them.

Old folks? I think the rivet counting was not by a 'old folk'.

Very true. But I still hold my opinions; If it ain't true to the thing then I ain't driving it. Same goes with the garbage that Dovetail dumps out regularly.

Are you angry because you are from Hell? Or is there something else? No one has to get mad about this.

Well, if it's any comfort, I am definitely not a rivet counter. I honestly don't care about ditchlights on early 90s equipment. I might be a little new and not understand the dynamics of RWA, but please try to ignore the folks that get you frustrated. I would really appreciate those repaints. To heck with ditchlights! The only real bugaboo I have is horns. And that is easily taken care of via bin files.

I suggest the Canadian way: give polite thanks for the input then ignore it.

raildriver wrote:The only issue with a repaint like this is that CSX never had B36-7's with low ditchlights like depicted in the pack. The only ones that did have low ditch lights were from Conrail, and they were wider than the ones in the pack.

Same issue with the C36-7. It could be done, but it wouldn't be prototypical.

God, I love this forum. Where old folks go nuts because of small details.

Just take it easy my man. Nothing is going to be perfect. Close enough is good enough especially in the world of reskins.

You need to remember that just about every railroad out there does some level of modification to a locomotive and you can't expect anyone to make every variant and still charge 20 bucks for it.

Hello, you must be new-ish around here, did you not see/purchase the Dash 7 pack of CSX locos that were developed by VirtualRailCreations, if not, then sadly, they have ceased to trade and pulled everything from sale, that is probably why nobody else has done a new CSX Dash 7 complete model, and I think the only reskins in the library are for the VRC model.

Cheerz. Steve.

They produced a CSX C30-7 which is still available for purchase on Steam

I didn't get the pack, but their C30-7 is available on the Steam store. I tried it, but unfortunately it really did a number on my frame rate, and thus, I had to return it. So until I get a new machine, it isn't an option.
