Florida East Coast Repaints Request

I was wondering if someone out there could do quality FEC SD40-2 and/or GEVO in their yellow and red 'Heritage' scheme.
I have included some photos of both locos.
I remember as a tiny little kid living in Titusville, the heart of FEC territory in the early to mid-2000s, and seeing their autorack trains stretch on for what seemed to be miles to a little tyke. Of course back then they didn't have GEVOs or this flashy paint scheme, but still...
I still remember as a tot soiling my pants because FEC was thundering by, and I didn't want to tear myself away to go to the bathroom.
Anyhoo, I would really appreciate it if someone would do one or both of these locos. It would mean quite a bit to me.
(I do know that there are ex UP patched FEC repaints but not looking for those.)
(Also, if you could repaint the Sherman Hill SD40-2 instead of the default Kuju unit, that would be awesome.)

Thanks! Didn't see that... It looks amazing!
Loved your work with the CSX YN2 SD40 and C40-8W, though!

Although... You're great at repainting, and there's still no FEC Heritage SD40-2...?
Nah, jk

Thanks jedirailfan98, I appreciate it! I think you talked me into doing the SD40-2...

Let me have a try at it and see how things turn out.
Any particular reason why you want the Sherman Hill SD40-2 repainted? Just curious

Because I modded the default unit with a Leslie RS3K and I put an RS3L on the SH unit. FEC equips RS3L on their SD40-2s.
I really appreciate your giving this an effort.

You can make multiple horns for separate repaints of the same model. Here's how:
Copy these three files: Class SD40 Horn.proxybin, Class SD40 Horn.proxyxml, and Class SD40 Horn Sound.bin. Rename them to whatever you choose (ex. Class SD40 Horn RS3L). Now run the Class SD40 Horn Sound RS3L.bin through Serz to create an .xml file to edit.
Once inside the Class SD40 Horn Sound RS3L.xml, scroll down unit you see this line of code:
<ProxyName d:type="cDeltaString">Kuju\RailSimulatorUS\Audio\RailVehicles\Diesel\SD40\Cab\Class SD40 Horn</ProxyName>
Change it to read your new Class SD40 Horn file.... (ex. . . .\Class SD40 Horn RS3L</ProxyName>). Save and run the file through Serz again. Now, open the Class SD40 Horn RS3L.bin and change each line to read your new horn-sound files like you would any other time you change a horn.
Once complete you should have a separate horn to add to any locomotive. Pick a locomotive (ex. FEC) that you want to use your new horn on. Go to . . .(Your locomotive of choice)\Engine and open the sd40-2.xml.
Inside, do a search for "horn sound" by using the "find next" function until you come across this line of code:
<BlueprintID d:type="cDeltaString">Audio\RailVehicles\Diesel\GP9\Cab\Class SD40 Horn.xml</BlueprintID>
Change the code to read your Class SD40 Horn Sound RS3L.bin (ex. . . . \Class SD40 Horn Sound RS3L.xml</BlueprintID>). Save and run through Serz, and you should be set...Hope it works for you!

Just wait for a better SD40-2 from JR/Searchlight. It's actually to scale and you can repaint it to your hearts delight.

When I try to open .bin files with serz.exe, an error message pops up saying "The code execution cannot proceed because zlibwapi.dll was not found. Reinstalling the program may fix this problem.'
But I do get what you're saying. I've done something similar, without getting into the serze stuff.

You could always edit the files with RWTools, if you are familiar with the program.

Conrail based stuff perhaps next week? If the beta goes well, that is.
We're moving on to UP next which would grant a proper snoot to repaint, the lead time on it shouldn't be as long either since the majority of time spent on the initial product has been scripting, mesh retooling, and audio.

ET44C4, I'm not familiar enough to know how to open .bin files with it. How would I do that?

BNSFdude, which website will it be available from? If you mean Jointed Rail, I can't find Railworks stuff, as I think they're geared toward Trainz, and on Searchlight's website all I can find is an announcement about their GMD SD40-2.

Look for the dedicated thread on here. A link to the storefront will be posted once its updated with the concurrent release of the product. It'll be on our website.
