RWA GP9/SD7s

Unread postby WcCrupper » Fri May 11, 2018 12:08 am

Is there any chance we can get repaints of the GP9 from Soldier Summit, and the SD9 from the Rio Grande SD9 pack? I'd like to have them for a scenario I'm working on involving a RWA in the late 60's early 70's, possibly late 70's.

Thanks!

I do believe there was a RWA SD9 released with the freeware SD7/9 pack by Michael Stephen.

There was also a RWA GP9 but I have no clue if Xdriver ever released it.

The SD7/9 from Golden Age of Railroading is actually a pretty good model considering it's freeware.

You can get it here:
http://golden-age-rails.com/packsrw/emdsd9rwa.html

But yes, I would also like to see more repaints, such as for the RWA, done using the more detailed pay-ware Rio Grande SD9.

As for the GP9, I do know that there is a nice repaint of the Virtual Railroads Alco RS-11 available for both the versions.

Steam Version:
RWA Alco RS-11 (PRR Model Version)
http://railworksamerica.com/index.php/d ... ide-addons

Trains and Drivers Version:
RWA Alco RS-11
http://railworksamerica.com/index.php/d ... ide-addons

And since the RS11 was Alco's answer to EMD's GP9, it would make since as a replacement if you have that loco.

I definitely agree about The Golden Age of Railroading SD7, but the DTG SD9/GP9 are more detailed. He did a good job on the SD9s but I always prefer a bit more detail, such as being able to bail off the brakes, all of the little switches on the control stand, etc..
