A GP38-2 with NYAR would be a good idea, mostly because you can mix the consists with CSX. Also, No marker lights or MP15AC for a real NYAR experience, bummer. But a GP38-2 should be fine with it.https://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=ht ... mrc&uact=8

The NY&A has four GP38-2's (not counting any leasers that were/are on the line). #270, 271, 268, and 261. All of them are ex-LIRR and have the same paint scheme as shown in the link above EXCEPT for #261:

This is if you're doing this in modern times. Otherwise, in the early 2000's they held that scheme in the picture above but with a green rooftop. And #271 had a special 9/11 tribute on the sides:

I would love to give these a go as a personal project but I'm not so good with texturing. I do the testing for desert pacific, not the repainting And plus we're busy with other projects.

I'm debating if I will take this one on. I haven't done requests in a while because I haven't had time to work much. So I plan to possibly work on it but it may not be done this weekend.

Which GP38-2 model? Theres quite a few now

Since there are no GP38-2s with marker lights, i guess the Burlington Northern GP38-2 from the BNSF GP38-2 Add-on is a close enough model, unless someone makes a GP38-2 with the lights on the top like on this model, a 90s k3la above the headights and red marker lights on the hood and rear.
