Adriana Co. Repaints

Adriana Co. is my favorite route and I find myself running it like my own little railroad. In my version, ACRR has just acquired a pair of ex-BNSF GP38-2's(Chicago) and a ex-BNSF SD70MAC(for heavy grain transport after the harvest season). These will supplement ACRR's current fleet of SW1500 and GP9's and possibly new gensets(next steam sale *!lol!* ).

Suggested repaints:
ACRR GP38-2(Chicago)
ACRR SD70MAC(RSC)
ACRR GP9(RSC)

If you need inspiration, look at tagsdm's wonderful ACRR repaints.

Best regards,
GEVOes44

GEVOes44,

Thanks for your interest in the Adriana County repaints. As per your requests, I'm not sure the Chicago GP-38 is repaint friendly. I don't have the route. The one in the GP-38 pack certainly isn't. It's nearly impossible to repaint unless the color is all black, like NS. It was a real disappointment to see that when I bought the pack. If the Chicago one is the same model, then I'd say it'd be almost impossible to paint as Adriana County. The best I could do to get an Adriana County GP-38 is to do a patched ex-BN engine...

I don't have the SD70 or the GP9, so maybe someone else could give it a try.

Next up from me is a pair of SW1500s from the pack. That'll give us an engine with some different fittings and Flex-I-coil trucks. Then there's another GP-15 set this time with ditchlights as suggested by NSTrains. Sorry about the others. I can't buy stuff just to see if they can be repainted. The Genset was a tough one. On the other hand the SW1500 isn't too bad.

Best,
tagsdm

tagsdm,

Thanks for the reply. I had no idea some engines could't be repainted. By the way I love your work your screenshots are amazing. I have to ask where do you get your rolling stock repaints or do you do them yourself?

Best Regards,
GEVOes44

Many thanks, GEVOes44,

Most of the rolling stock repaints are from here...

The Jesse James repaints. Most are for default items, though some do require a payware asset.

Here's one by yours truly...

Thank you so much tagsdm!

All the repaints make ACRR come alive! I will be posting screenshots!

P.S How did you build the Marlane bypass because i'm tired of making a switching move every time I run the Henderson-Clairbourne local.

Thanks again,
GEVOes44

Many thanks, GEVOes44. Love your shots and the narration with them. Here's some info on the Marlane bypass...

Geep20 did it, too. I wouldn't be surprised if others hadn't as well. It adds much operating interest to this fantastic route. You can still switch the sidings at Marlane, if you want. The topic of interest starts about two thirds down...

I sure wish Mark would issue an "Adriana County 2" with this mod, but for now we'll have to make do.

Best,
tagsdm
