A who's doing what

Does anyone besides me think it would be helpful to have a spot to report wip on paint jobs so we don't end up with two or more people working on the same paint job. A while back I thought we were going to run out of people doing re-paints now we have all kinds of people doing quality work. I can't think of anything more discouraging than spending a bunch of hours only to have someone else post a finished project when you have spent three hours trying to find some stupid guardrail part.

Probably not a bad idea, I made a fire damaged dash 9 and just before I finished it I found out someone else made it already.

For the time being (next year or so) I'm doing a lot of my own fictional work, as well as a few models for rolling stock or locomotives. It is nice to see the efforts that are in place here. Give it a couple years and this community may end up with as much models and repaints as the Dark Side.

Ain't that what the WIP forum is for, to tell everyone what your working on?

Then again, sometimes if your not sure your going to finish a paint you don't want to post it.. Like I have have halfway done a couple of reskins and hit a roadblock.. I wait till im mostly finished to post it

Usually if you run into a roadblock and post it someone will know how to help you out. The only exception being some of those models that have mirror images or errors in the mapping that prevent things from lining up AND if a person runs into that it would be nice to know also to save someone else hours of aggravation.
