Hey everyone

Just two requests today, I'd try them myselves but I messed up so badly doing one of them already; I did a repaint of a railcar and it came out all messed up and glitchy (wrong DDS type I guess)?

Anyway, I was hoping someone would be able to do these two:


Amtrak Keystone Cabcar (I guess you could use an Amfleet coach car for this, just draw on the windows?)


Amtrak Northeast Regional Cafe Car (Amfleet cafe car with that logo in the empty space

I believe so. It comes with the Northeast Corridor as well as the AEM-7.

It would be possible to do this, as long as you don't mind the fact that there would be no headlights or strobes or horn. Just the yellow-striped face. Unless the many geniuses here could ad child objects from other assets, but I have no idea how that works so I shouldn't give false hope. Good for AI, but not so much for player running.

Your doing a Amfleet Cab Car correct if so I love to test it for you?That iw when your done with it.

Let's see... Marker lights need repositioning, because otherwise they'd collide with the cabcar windows, you'd have no headlight....I think we could obtain the freeware Amfleet base models and give it to Mikey. He can do it. As for the NEC Amfleet, you can't get the base model and it will be a disappointment. Ill make a flaw draw when I get home...like I have done in the past.

The three main problems you have are,
The shape of the cab nose. It isn't flat but angled so that it sticks out in the middle.
The second is the door behind the cab would need moving back.
The third is the trucks are completely different.
After that you've got the roof mounted lights and horn and the cab sides are smooth.

To be entirely honest, I was planning on using it mainly for just AI consists (thus why it only needed to be a reprinted face on a copy of the Amfleet coach) but if it's somehow even possible to create a workable cab car, that'd be awesome. I see that there are a ton of issues however.

I could go on Facebook and ask Dovetail if they plan on making some new NEC stock, it would be nice for some dash 8s, cab cars and those HHP8s or whatever they are called.

If only they'd do it, there's an NEC Revamp project going on here so I was hoping some new NEC cars and engines could be made, especially those cab cars and HHP-8s. There were some 377s repainted into NJT and SEPTA paints before to resemble the cab cars and whatnot though.

I had to take a screenie of my iPhone because i was having an issue where the photo wouln't save

Without question there will be a new set of NEC stock. Follow their patterns, New routes come with new stock & and recycled ones. Wha twill it be we have no idea. i can't wait. I hope they extend the current route. I don't mind driving long hours especially if its the nec lol.

Wonder if the ACS-64 will make a guest appearance since Amtrak entered it into service last week.

The ACS-64 would be interesting, but yeah. New NEC stock is mainly what I'm looking for right now, and hopefully it's accurate. :P
