I naïvely thought that railroads designed engine paint schemes for better visibility.

I think that’s why they changed it to the Blue/Gray scheme.

@buzz456:
Thank you for the update on this loco's repaint process. It would be interesting to see this loco in both Western Maryland, B&O and C&O paint schemes.

I complete forgot about these Buzz till I saw your comment in the UP Hood unit post. If you aren’t finished with these I would recommend another - BN. I have these from VRC, but a lot of folks may have missed that boat and can only get the DTM version.

Numbers
5300-5399 U30C
5800-5839 U30C
5900-5944 U30C

Lemmie think about that a bit. These BN repaints are tough because of having those numbers on the side. I'll give it some thought.

Buzz... I would agree that a BN repaint would be a nature... especially for Tomcat's PRB route. Or, if someone has a way of getting a hold of the former VRC folks and see if they would be willing to re-release their BN unit... maybe as an exclusive fund raiser for RWA? An outlandish idea... yes. But I for one would gladly repay for that unit if it helps out our RWA community.

Even if you missed the VRC boat, you still have time to catch this one before it leaves. https://travelbytrain.ecwid.com/
