Yep, off white stripe along the sill is the only major thing I can see missing. Looks great.

If there ever was a route for the Rock Island Line then this would look beautiful on it. Lovely work, Buzz!

Agreed.
There is a Rock Island route in the game under the guise of Kansas City to Topeka. Armourdale was a Rock Island yard and it's "Golden State" route traversed these rails from Armourdale then crossed the Kansas river in Topeka heading South West on what are now BNSF rails towards Enid, OK and beyond. A little bit of retro work and imagination could run riot. The local business en route would probably all be Rock Island customers with UP having running powers.

A little test run on the Granger Heartland. I think we're good to go.

On home ground. The main work for these and the 10 x RI SD40-2s was grain trains from Kansas to Texas ports for export (some of it to the USSR) so this is very much their home ground.

!!*ok*!! The Rock Island unit looks really great, but I'm with CSXAC60CW....... That L&N version would sure look great on the Clinchfield route as run through power. Someday, I must learn to do these reskins.......

I actually working on the L&N version. If I really wanted to be authentic the vast majority of these had the four headlights. To get this I will need DTM to remove the 'cyclops' light from the SP version then we would be more accurate. He's speeding along trying to get the BL2 finished up but I hope to prevail upon him when he gets that done to do that for us. Stay tuned.

Sounds Great Buzz456
I have access to one of the surface mount Pyle National Gyralights if you would like some up close pics of one or some dimensions. L&N was fond of those as was SP, Metra and others. I grew up watching those Gyralights flash off the hill sides of Tennessee Coal country from L&N GP7's and 9's. They are a love or hate relationship with the crews I've talked to over the years. Are there any operating Gyralights currently in TS2021? I know VRC had one on its L&N GP40 a few years ago. That is a difficult simulation, I realize. Very cool light.....

If you ever need L&N artwork for heralds or number font, I'd sure like to help. The L&N Historical Society is relocating to Chattanooga soon, located at the Southern Railway Historical Society building.

Looking forward to your handiwork......
