Just a few places that need to get lined up and a few textures that need to be finished, but its getting close, now i just need to make some decals for the number boards and the sides of the loco so i can get all 9 numbers replicated.

One of my buddies is working on a UP set. I guess you all can check that off the list.
My Suggestions: NYC, CB&Q, and CR Executive
...ALSO for the single headlight version, I suppose you all could paint in porthole windows to try to make the model more prototypical. I want to see if I can do a 4 number conversion (on the number boards). I might have a solution but no promises.

so i'm wondering about cp rail cause they own like 3 e8 back in the day and also could the cars be painted to cp rail?

In one of the articles it was stated that they were going to put out both the single and dual headlight in both versions. I wonder if that was a error in the article or if they just don't have them done yet?

Even if they don't and I personally doubt that they will, it shouldn't be too hard to paint those in using the porthole window textures in the phase 1 and their corresponding ring mount textures. Still HD textures anyway.

All the work I've seen thus far looks VERY impressive!
I've been doing some preliminary tests myself. Faaar from finished, infact I'll probably start over, but the ball is rolling on!

Different Vents
Anyone who wants them let me know.
They look alittle better in game then in the screen shot, in my defense. At a distance Anti-Aliasing makes them look weird however.
Time for bed. Gotta take the 1:1 scale to Iowa tonight.

Hey All repainters,
Just so you know, the horn sound child object is too far back on the locomotive. In the Bin, changing the location from -3.45428 to 7.5 puts the child object in exactly the right spot.

It's getting there - took me a bit too long to realize certain color headaches were being caused by a different texture map file.
