NP Passenger Cars

Unread postby Logan20131 » Mon Mar 14, 2016 9:19 am

With the current development of the Montana Rail Link route, I think we should look at the era before the BN. The Northern Pacific Railway controlled this area then. When the NP A-1 and A-2 4-8-4 projects get going this summer. We'll need someone to join in and start building NP Heavyweight cars and figuring out how to do Repaints for the GN Empire Builder series. Who ever wants to join in the Future Project of the Northern Pacific Railway, PM me.

Those don't have the capabilities like the RSC GN Lightweights do.

What is your point Logan? I was merely pointing out that they existed. If you are in love with the RSC cars go paint them. Be aware that there are issues about what you can put where on those cars though.

Good luck with that. Anyone who would help is already helping someone now.

I've repainted a whole set of the Empire Builder coaches before, so depending on when you need them I could probably do a Northern Pacific set. PM me any details.

Hi Guys

Logan: What are the additional capabilities of the RSC GN Lightweights?
Buzz: What are the issues about what you can put where?

I am sure experienced repainters understand what these issues are but I am still in the learning phase.
Thanks

As I recall and I did these three years ago some parts of the side panels are mirror images so if you put printing or logos in these locations it shows up in game backwards.

I did a Big Sky Blue set for the Empire Builder.

If anyone needs, I can make a decal child object if things won't work properly

If you mean my response, I mean that if you can't get a texture to work properly, I can easily make a decal that shows up separately. For example, the newer DTG releases have separate texture files for the logos. I can make one and position it onto the car where ever it needs to be

Nice, We'll probably need the NP Monad and lettering saying The Vista Dome North Coast Limited.

If someone can provide a paint without logos I can whip the decals up and place them on the sides
