Clinchfield SD40

This is a tired and overly recycled locomotive. Is one up to reskinning something a bit better to replace it? The engine sound is is poor, pops in the sound loop. No number board lights.I have been replacing stock slowly in the route to make it look better. There is something about stock without any road names. Thanks in advance. *!!wink!!*

Only issue is it's the only sd40 model in the game so far which is a little more scrunched together and uses different bogies than the sd40-2.

To be honest, and a little divergent from prototypical, I would love to see one of Searchlight Simulations SD40-2s reskinned if it were possible. Performance and improved sounds would be worth it. Even keeping the screeching horn, maybe a little louder would be good.Usually by now there are improvements to available power on these newer routes.

JR does have a straight 40 done for Trainz, but it's a lot to ask of us to put more on the plate with the current backlog.

There are several of us capable of repainting the SD40 so don't fell like you have to do this one. !!*ok*!!

I was not suggesting that it come from you folks. As Buzz said, others here have done reskins of your SD40-2s. There is an abundance of talent here.

Keep in mind the Clinchfield did roster SD40-2s (CRR 8034-8039, 8127-8132, purchased in 1979 and 1981) albeit in the "Family Lines" era.

Now this would be an interesting reskin of JR's sd40-2.
