CSX GP38-2 "YN3" Scheme using CalTrain Union Pacific GP38-2

Unread postby TheR62Fan » Thu Dec 05, 2019 2:30 pm

I know there are CSX GP38-2 repaints in the library, but most of them use the racetrack GP38, which I don't have yet...

Thus I was wondering if someone could make one from the UP GP38-2 in the CalTrain route. This is one of my favorite hood units, the brakes work, and the textures are good (at least to me). I was trying to make it, but my ineptness in repainting got in the way... *!sad!*

*!!thnx!!*

I believe it is the same loco.
So it needs only a loco blueprint edition.

There is a ClearTracks CSX GP38-2, transfer the textures to the UP body. Not to mention the Racetrack model is more accurate as it has AC units on the top, although the CT one is best functionally because it has SS upgrade

Regarding texture swaps, this cannot be done because the Caltrain GP38-2 is mapped differently from the other versions. Best to wait and see if someone tackles this in the meantime.
