SS / JR Adriana County Engine Repaints

Unread postby Goldeneye48 » Mon Aug 12, 2019 8:54 pm

After experiencing the joy of SS / JR SD40-2 Engine add-ons for TS19 and using the Ex-CR engines on the Adriana County route.

It would be nice to see these three versions for both the SD40-2 (Conrail Quality) and the AC4400 (Canadian Pacific) in Adriana Colors:

Version One: Adriana "Heritage" Livery Scheme
- Have the South Eastern Railway Company logo in the back, front and sides of this unit. Kinda like what the "Big 4" Class I Railroads are doing with some of there main line engines.

Version Two: Adriana "Classic" Livery Scheme
- Have the engine unit painted in a Matte Black (or close to it) with "Adriana County" on the sides of the engine in a classic gold or an off-white lettering color scheme.

Version Three: Adriana "RN1" Livery Scheme
- This would be the modern paint scheme with the Black and Red current paint scheme of Adriana County with the white or off-white block "AC" logo. If we where going with CSX's naming scheme it would considered Red Nose 1 paint scheme. *waiting for the jokes*...

I actually had started an Adriana County pack on the Union Pacific SD40-2 pack, but made a mistake that messed up the pack and decided to drop it out of frustration. I can look into starting fresh on it. Shouldn't be too hard to do, but it depends on how much I can get done before school starts again. Would it be a problem if I did it on the UP pack, because I see you are asking for the Conrail Quality? The reason being is that I feel the UP style fits better with the midwestern style of the route itself.

@Fireexplorer249
After look at the CRQ SD40-2 and UP SD40-2 models. It looks like they use the same model from the image posted on SLS’s website.

There is no rush on these repaints. Just throwing out ideas to the community for repaints.

Unfortunately, it looks like I won't be able to take this on at the minute, because RSBinTool is not wanting to work on my new laptop. Until I figure it out, I guess I can't work on repaints.

Sorry for the very late reply...

Once you have tracked down the issue with RSBinTool, may then you can look into these repaints.

I am working on creating a template for the SS SD40-2. When I am done, I will look at adding this to my list of repaint projects.

Here is the WIP progress of the Adriana County SD40-2. ACRR has recently acquired 10 SD40-2s from NS and added them to their fleet.

oh, wow! Very nice on the reskin of the the SS / JR SD40-2. This will complement the ACRX rail cars nicely.

@wlenz781:
Thank for making this idea into a reality for this livery idea. I am going to have to download it and play around with it on my day off.
