"Puffy" A 4-6-0

Unread postby ET44C4 » Wed Aug 31, 2016 1:33 pm

I would like to know if anyone could provid the time to make a model (freeware) of GVRR #2248, a 2-6-0 for TS2016. The locomotive is known as the "oldest operating steam locomotive" and operates in Grapevine, TX. Grapevine Vintage Railroad's "Puffy" #2248 has a very interesting history.

HISTORY:

#2248 started it's life working for Southern Pacific as a fire locomotive. It worked for SP for a long while. Then a Walt Disney theme park bought the locomotive to run on it's own train. After operation at the theme park, the locomotive moved to Texas. It's new job was to work for the Texas State Railroad in Palestine, TX. Soon the Fort Worth and Western Railway bought the locomotive. They put it on FWWR's "Tarantula" train in Grapevine, TX. It ran from downtown Grapevine, TX to the Fort Worth, TX Historic Stockyards. Later on the Grapevine Vintage Railroad got the locomotive. The GVRR now ran passenger trains Saturday and Sunday every week. GVRR #2248 called "Puffy" now works on the railroad's train. The locomotive still runs but only for short periods of time. GVRR's GP7u operates when #2248 doesn't run. (Used to be Santa Fe GP7u) The locomotive needs some heavy work done, so everyone is hoping the small railroad can get the money to keep this historic locomotive running for the railfanns of Texas.

Here are some pictures of #2248. If you need more pictures I can see what I need to do.

Why do you keep asking for ding bat ideas on here? Look around at what the community is doing. You are way out of step.

Well I though people could help me on here, but I guess most people fire up their sarcastic comments.

You have done seven requests in eight days or thereabouts including one for a free steamer from scratch which would probably take a good modeler the better part of a year to do. That wasn't meant as a sarcastic remark.

ET44C4, you need to cool down with the requests. Most of these you've proposed are simply put;

1. Done on a different model,
or
2. Won't happen. Simple.

You won't get anything that your asking for at this rate. Don't expect developers to simply fulfill every single request you make. It won't happen. Cool off and stop requesting stuff. It's starting to get on everyone's nerves!!! !*not-ok*!

This would be like if someone asked me if I could do the MEC Mountain Division, The Conn river line, The Pan am mainline from Portland to Mechanicville, and the St. Lawrence and Atlantic mainline.
Don't pump out requests like (something that gets frequently pumped out put here). Do it one at a time, or don't do it at all.
