Granite Flatcar Loads

Unread postby RickKfoury » Wed Apr 22, 2015 11:07 pm

My current route-in-progress, set in Vermont in the 1950s, features a large granite quarry with its own switching railroad. I would like to be able to create consists and write scenarios featuring this aspect of the route, and I was wondering if someone would be willing to create some granite loads for GreatNortherner's freeware 40ft flatcars. I have included some photos from which one may draw inspiration.

Them are some old pictures Rick, they use way bigger flat cars than that now. At Rock of Ages in Barre they have 40 foot polishing wheels and they polish the slabright on the flat car. Been cutting stone for 38 years now, I have some insight.

Here is the link where I found the photographs! Pretty interesting stuff, its such a huge part of Vermont's history I had to include it in the route.

We get granite from everywhere. If you think about it, the planet is one big granite ball.
