ALCO RS-11 available now!

Unread postby Andimax » Sat Dec 08, 2012 2:55 pm

Hey everybody!

We are proud to present the ALCO RS-11 by virtualRAILROADS to be released through the Trains and Drivers Store in the next days. This fine engine in two different "Lehigh Valley" liveries, built after the real world model comes with a full detailed cab, excellent sounds and scenarios for the Horseshoe Curve (made by Trains and Drivers, of course)!

Awesome! Love the Alcos. Hope that this model is designed to be reskinned. Lots of railroads had the RS11.

Excellent, and how forthcoming!! !*salute*!

When this engine is a succes for you, I hope you and your team will be encouraged to provide more. There have been lots of suggestions made in different threads as of late.

The true test for this engine will be the amount of black smoke it generates when throttling up.

This model produces a lot of black smoke when throttling up:

This picture does not show the full amount of smoke, I just took it "on the fly":

The cabview suggest it is set up to run long hood forwards, right?

Nice cab, real tidy instrument panel. Plus that large ALCo control stand.

The throttle lever will move through the whole distance/arc of that slot?

This is certainly looking to become a fine engine.

Yes, this engine runs long hood forward.

The throttle lever has 8 notches and moves through (mostly) the complete arc of the slot, the dynamic brake switches is located in the same slot.
