Sorry but I have to ask. Will you be charging for this? And if so what other enhancements aside for the HUD will make your offer more distinctive from the updates to the DLC that RSC has promised us?

A good queston. Here the answer:
At least for the SD40-2 and the ES44AC, I assume that there won't be any upgrade from RSC in the near future.

On a side note:
As soon as Donner Pass gets released we'll also look into how good the dlc locos in that pack have been updated and then decide if we'll create another enhancement pack especially for them.
Maybe this'll come together with a Donner Pass scenario pack then? !*don-know!* :D

This Pack will inlcude ALL US Locomotives (including DLC) and will be updated on a regular basis, You buy once, and receive the updates for free, guaranteed! :D

The already updated TS2012 Locos from RSC were the first that we decided to enhance, because in our opinion, they were not done in a proper way. And I don´t think that the other locos will be after being updated by RSC.

We managed to enhance the headlights with less ressources used, so you will get better frame-rates and a more realistic lighting effect. And BTW: We don´t just promise, we DO! !*salute*!

Nice idea.

If you are good at engine hacking, how about working displays in the ES44AC? At least in the lead engine display on the right side of the desk. The left display is for mu-ed engines I presume, though It would be nice if you can control/read out pushers or mid-train helpers.
In order to drive the ES44AC prototypically, you need indication of train, engine and brakes parameters.
The P42DC has it, so perhaps you can learn from that engine?

Another wish: flashing ditch lights or roof beacons.

I'll buy such an enhancement the moment it came out.

What's the red light? Never seen that on a locomotive here. Will these locomotives have flashing ditch lights on the ones that should? NS, etc?

About the red light, was inpired in the existing locos in my country (Brazil), some are auto lighted, some are only reflexive boards (becomes iluminated when a headlight pass over them, like in modern autos). They are usefull especially when loco headlights are turned off (or dimmed) because red is the light you can see farer than any other (this is why they are in the top of buildings, towers etc. for flying visual warning).

And also, here most of the numbers actually are black over yellow background (some yellow over black) because black and yellow are the two colors that have the highest contrast (this is why the main roadway boards in all the world are black over yellow).

As everything in virtual world, some things are for visual effects (a certain mindfreak, to become driving experience more attractive, or different) more than try to reproduce prototypicall real word stuffs. Once the locos are original rolling stock in USA, if american users strange too much yellow and red lights, we can issue a pattern collor version (no red lights and numbers white, but they are visuallly a bit funnyless, at least in virtual world).

Our pack is focused in enhancing existing headlights, in the first shot of this thread tank car (same track of loco, in the center) is 200ms far and iluminated, this is 3.5 brightner than default SD40-2 and almost twice default ES44AC headlights (and optimized to impact fps no more than 10%). The difference when driving is impressive indeed, you will see and feel.

About ditch lights, beacons and others, they are not in the default models and, for now, we won't change models, we will only ehance lights (including external and in cab lights for those who likes to drive with an eye in the gauges).

You can download this Show Case Pics of WIP and take your time to check the huge difference between default and TAD Locomotive Lightings and Cab Views *!!wink!!*
