this is an excellent pack, although I would prefer to get the pack off Steam.

If you are purchasing from the United States, do you have to pay the VAT as well or is there a way to get this refund from TAD somehow? Should I wait for it to become available on steam in order to avoid the Value Added Tax?

I'm sorry if some think the answers to these questions are obvious but I don't have any experience shopping with trains and drivers. *!embar*!
Thanks in advance!

I just looked on mt last few TAD invoices and I didn't get taxed VAT. It shows the tax area as 'non EU country'

It says "This add-on version equals the version from Dovetail Games sold on Steam."

Can anyone point out the DTG versions? Maybe link the Steam store page(s)? I can't find C36 or B36 in the store and don't want to miss out on any new American locos.

Thanks in advance.

It is not on Steam as of now. You'd think with all the DTG haters on here they would be flocking to buy stuff from other sources. T&D is a great source.

Absolutely. I've bought from them several times.

Buying from T&D instead of Steam would consider the DLC as 3rd party and therefore not suitable for future D7 workshop scenarios. Am I wrong?

Correct. But you could download the scenarios regardless and use RWTOOLS to sub the TaD files in.
You may as well buy it from TaD anyways because if the last treatment of DTM by Dovetail Towers is any indication, who knows when they'll actually release it to steam.

The TaD files may be identical to the Steam files. I have Chengdu-Suining from JT, yet I downloaded a workshop scenario for the route and it worked fine. So yes, non-Steam and Steam releases can be compatible.

I have not done this yet with RW_Tools. I have to try it.
BTW, there have been reports lately of workshop files denial to run or even subscribe because of missing DLCs.
