The NEC Series Volume 2 is now available (developed for you by me :D ) - more info here

The second edition of the NEC Series is bringing you the ACELA*, the GG-1* and the Genesis P42* to the Northeast Corridor. Experience these different engines in a variety of scenarios!
Drive an ACELA on a test-run, bring back the GG-1 to the NEC on National Train Day or make sure the Pennsylvanian leaves on time for Pittsburgh. Hours of driving pleasure await you!

Contains these 8 scenarios:

Image
A Special Day (112 mins, Hard)
Run a Special from Newark to Philly. The occasion is the National Train Day event at Washington Union Station. All the invited Railfans already wait for this train to bring them to the event.

Image
Bound for Trenton (83 mins, Hard)
A cold January morning on the East Coast. Run this Wednesday's ealy 6 a.m. Acela Express from New York to Philadelphia. It's the only Acela with a stop at Trenton today.

Image
Driving Home for Christmas (28 mins, Medium)
It's Christmas Eve and you are in charge of Acela Express 2220. An incident at Newark Penn slightly interferes with your Christmas plans.

Image
Irene's A'Comin' (75 mins, Medium)
On August 27th, 2011, all rail service on the East Coast was suspended in fear of immense Hurricane Irene. Amtrak's operations stopped at 8:00 PM. Run one of the last trains before the stop.

Image
Return of the Legend (100 mins, Medium)
National Train Day 2012. It's the day that will see the return of the legend - the GG1. After more than 28 years of no GG1 service, this legendary locomotive once again will ride the Northeast Corridor.
You have the honour to be the engineer on its first run in years.

Image
Shared Assets (84 mins, Hard)
Run an evening Acela Express from Philadelphia to New York via Metropark and Newark. There are trackworks and a replacement timetable is in effect.

Image
Some Extra Work (45 mins, Very Hard)
Amtrak's Pennsylvanian connects New York and Pittsburg once a day in each direction. As the line isn't completely electrified, there is a loco change from electric to diesel in Philadelphia.
You must execute this task today, but you've been ordered to work earlier than normal...

Image
Testin' the Line (76 mins, Very Hard)
Run a special 7 car Acela test train between Philly and Trenton. The test is supposed to evaluate the feasability of improving this section of the NEC.

If you want to buy Volume 2 together with Volume 1, there also is a bundle offer available: The NEC Series Megapack
