BNSF GP38-2

I see a BNSF GP38-2 added to the list of DLC on the steam valve test app page. Appears to be really coming to RW soon?

Oh you have GOT to be kidding me. *!rolleyes!* this is only going to make them lose even more money. Because there is a freeware version of the same model!!! I would guess for MP, but it already exists, UNLESS it has the high headlights.

To me as a customer, I it's the low headlight version (most likely will be) then I don't see why I'd but it if I had a freeware model of the same engine, that is a VERY impressive model. But if high light, or both, they have my money already. BNSF has mostly low lighters. But the ex-BN patches have high lights, so it could be both!

Well you had to see this coming, although JCornells model is free and top notch, I think it was about time RSC made an updated one. I hope this also gets made in several liveries, but I can only dream about seeing 5 or more in one pack for $19.99 like they used to do. Anyways I am glad to see this model coming out. !!*ok*!! Hopefully BNSFDude is working on the sounds!

May I ask what you mean by "updated"? I don't see what isn't up to date on the Jcornell model. Could you explain? I'm honestly confused because it works perfect with TSX on.
Edit: Nothing looks good with TSX on for me. My computer lags out! !*roll-laugh*! But when I do, the wet windows and lighting, coloring, etc still work fine,

Well between me and you, I haven't used the Geep recently, but from what I remember I think the windows weren't see through and well, I can't remember. Don't get me wrong now, it is a great model! Also, I know RSC has been researching NS geeps too. Hopefully they have the right BNSF specs for this GP38 and not NS specs if there are any differences between the two anyways besides maybe the head lights.

You guys forget I have a beatin' stick. !!bang!!

I'll make sure things are right per-era and such. Just do your job and wait.

As to why we're making a GP38-2, its single handed the most popularly wanted model from the Community. Plus it's versatility is great, just because Cornell made one back a few years ago won't keep us from making ours. Plus, if I may say so myself, this one sounds MUCH better. *!!wink!!*

Would a SP version be too far fetched? And one in the UP yard scheme.

Remember that the current freeware gp38-2 was made for RS and hasn't been updated since then, it doesn't have headlights, see through windows, or rain effects. Plus the stock sounds aren't really good. I will be buying this for shure!

I'm not sure where you boys have been this sure looks like clear windows, 2013 headlights, and a upgraded sound pack.
