Thanks for the heads-up, John. I'm looking forward to that one. Who knows? Maybe they can talk the builder into reworking the model as an RSD-12 while they're at it ...

I believe it's actually the same author/model through the partner program. I know some don't care for Steam, but I do enjoy being able to use the engines in workshop scenarios, so this is of interest to me!

This one is supported by vR themselves though.

I do have to admit that I wish it maybe included another roadname or two. Wikipedia says that Southern Pacific had a fair number of units as well. It would have been cool to get an SP livery. It just feels restricted now like it won't be at home in any scenario except on Horseshoe Curve. I'm sure some folks will get around to reskinning it, but once again, the beauty of official models/liveries is use in workshop scenarios.

All in all it looks amazing though and it's on my wishlist. I'm not sure if I can pick it up right away as I'm saving my pennies for Marias Pass! :D

I should have expected that !!det!! but I still wish there were a few more included with the original model for use in workshop scenarios. Anyway, enough complaining from me!

Hi guys, was just wondering if there are any difrences between this model and the VR one? i know they are the same model, i just mean like a diffrent configuration, bits added or removed.

Are there any extra's included like new wagons/cars ? (sorry, im british)

Could i just download a workshop scenario or the RSC version and swap the loco for the PRR reskined VR one without problems ?

Thanks in advance

I found that a previous release of a loco from 3rd-party that is now available as DLC from Steam Store, but not purchased, will not be recognized by the Workshop Scenario. and It definitely will not run. A perfect example is the G-Trax SP&S Northerns and the Class-S Berkshire. In my case, I own both of these as G-TraX 3rd-Party assets but they are not recognized by the Workshop Scenario loader. And the Scenarios that call for them get a red X in the required assets list.
