Let's try to make some attempt to stay on topic here. If you want to veer off just start a new topic. That's why we have all these different places to post. :D !!*ok*!!

As I was saying... lol I wonder if we will get any never motive power with this route, or will we just get some of the Dash 9's out of the pack and a reskinned SD40-2? I would be estatic if we got an BNSF ES44 with the route!

well this is just my assumption, I think we will get the H2 C44-9W from the dash9 pack, the new SD40-2 repainted into BNSF (not shure of what logo?) and the new ES44AC painted in BNSF. If they add anything for motive power with the route I will be surprised. What I really want to see is what freightcars they are going to include with the route, are they going to re-skin that god awful boxcar into BNSF or give us a new 60ft car? Imho I think we are going to get the autorack repainted in BNSF (round logo), Boxcar (new or current car?), the standard intermodal cars, BN woodchip hopper car, and BNSF hoppers (2 bay, 3 bay, and 3 bay airside [the black one from the sd70 pack 2 probably]) I think that is what most likely will come with this route, but I wont be complaining if we get more than this!

You realize that some of this is available from third parties now?

I would love to see this route done in the early post merger era of the BN. Like the early to mid seventies. But we can pretty much bet that will never happen. Seems the majority vote always leans towards the more modern. But then again,HSC was an early route version,so why not this one. :D

I would love to see a BNSF route with ES44AC's and SD70MAC's working together to pull heavy coal. I thought Sherman would bring some coal traffic, but it didn't, really. And there aren't a whole lot of scenarios for it, either. Are there typically a lot of coal trains on Marias Pass? I don't care for pulling Intermodal or Mixed freights that much. Coal is king, for me. As for the route itself, I know I'll probably eventually get it, but Its not high on my priority list for this year's DLC. I've had enough of the mountainous routes and the slow speed limits. However, when playing this in MSTS, I don't recall the speed limits being as bad compared to something like Donner where about 75% of the route is under 25mph. What would be considered the average speed limit here? If it's above 35-40, I'll be all in for it. If it's another Donner, I'm not so excited.

You may be pleasantly surprised. There are a few sprints of 79mph for passenger, and everything from 25-60mph for freight. !!*ok*!!

That's great to hear! I really hope they get some fog in there at the tops of the mountain peaks. That would be awesome! !!*ok*!!

I'm down with some coal trains.... that is if they truly feel heavy like one. Otherwise they would simply be a change of eye candy. As I've said before, if you own the SD45 pack.... try a quick drive with the 30 car pipe train. That's the kind of heavy I want a coal train to feel like.

I haven't run Marias Pass on MSTS in years. Looking forward to this. Especially since it will be up to TS2012 standards, but with a new and improved draw distance thanks to the new low-polys for distant objects they are talking about! !!*ok*!!

Oh well. I guess it would've been too much work to back date with 70's era rolling stock and all. !*don-know!*
Wonder if RSC ever heard of U-boats.No,not the German kind either. :D

Not sure where my proposed GN P-2 steam loco fits into the scheme of things. Railfanning excursions anyone?
