Yes, "converted" with a number of visual and detail changes, application of authentic 26-L air brake characteristics and performance, re-gearing to 90 mph as a dual-service loco, etc.

This one actually captured my attention. Not too often I'll admit that.

My first thought was, it´s the U28 from VRC.

Why is the numberboard on the U28CG black with white letters instead of white with black letters like the passenger warbonnet U28CGs were? The freight warbonnet U28CGs had black numberboards with white letters AND they had 4 digit numbers instead of three.

The U28CG model is set up to accept and use either three-digit 350-series road numbers or 7900-series road numbers. The Santa Fe's system-wide renumbering started in 1969 (when the U28CGs were still in red and silver), so to some degree it's a case of "being right half time time" in either version. But the point is a good one and we'll take a look.

Considering you pretty much have to have two different versions of the engine to make the numbering work anyways, you may as well do it correctly with the numberboards matching their appropriate versions.

As Gary said earlier, we're taking a look.

And no, one doesn't need separate models for number ranges with different digit count. Just add all the required primarydigits_# nodes to the model and you're set.

What would go really great with this pack is a back dated Cajon Pass route with the old summit routing. Just saying.
