I look forward to all the new stock we'll be getting. It looks like the SP Black Widow & UP F7's are getting a few upgrades, as well as the Big Boy & Challenger. It'll be even better once Mike Rennie has completed work on his Big Boy. !!*ok*!!

So don't buy it. Why do you think you need to degrade it? Either make something or wait for something that meets your taste whatever that is. Why post stuff like this?

40 bucks for a few thousand hours of someones time. Said person gets 15 bucks of that. If you're the guy who's put in the few thousand hours in you might disagree.

You have, of course, not yet run the route and apparently are unfamiliar with (and have not bothered to check) the grade profile of the line before making the cynical comment. Yes, it is upgrade eastbound and downgrade west, but there is much more to it than that. On the lines (which include considerable grade separation) there are significant variances in gradient and the route is in fact quite interesting (and challenging) to operate on.

I feel for once that this route has potential. Could surely use some fixes here and there based on the screenshots, but I do believe it could be a lot of fun.

DTG can charge whatever they like for stuff. You don't have to buy it. That is capitalism. The best system in the world. The only one that works. Those of us that love this hobby either buy stuff or make stuff or do without. It's pretty simple. Or you can wait for it to be on sale.

I’m with Buzz. Compare DTG price with HO or even N gauge modelling, see what $40 buys you there! Been there done that and I was a dealer so bought much of mine at wholesale. Most of the fantastic freeware (reprints etc) is based on the work of DTG and other developers who need to at least cover their costs or why should they do it?
