I've got my fingers crossed; the mapping on some of their recent models has been such a mess that it made them un-paintable. *!rolleyes!* Thanks DTG

+1
Especially because Amtrak would not have been my first choice of livery.
But finally having an official E unit DLC is great.
I wonder who's built it?

If the mapping doesn't suck then I would be willing to paint it into:
SP Bloody nose
SP Daylight
Milwaukee road to go with new Milwaukee road bilevels
Rock Island
Union Pacific
BURLINGTON NORTHERN!!!!!!!!!!!!
Both the silver with black & white stripes
and the one with orange and white stripes with one headlight.
Via
Burlington Route
CN and CP
Alaska RR
Now that I can (Kind of) repaint I'll be willing to try some of these, given that the mapping won't be a mess...

I think I'm most Excited to do or for someone to do the SP, BN, and alaska ones.
As for the maker, I think it's DTG as no 3rd party manufacturer was mentioned as they usually are.

That's quite a list and we appreciate your enthusiasm however it would be a good idea to announce these one at a time as you would begin any of them with a wip picture or something. Otherwise we all sit and wait for something that may or may not happen.

If this does turn out to be fairly straightforward to repaint, the possibilities are endless for just about any major fallen flag anywhere in the country. Plus they modelled single and dual headlight versions so you can be more accurate when the model comes out. Like the rest of you all are pointing out, just hope it's not too unbearable to reskin. !*YAAA*!

I didn't even notice the headlight differences. Let's hope it has a working Mars light like the FP7

That's not really a issue since if they don't (and I bet they do) that's a really easy hack to add it.

!*YAAA*! 'Bout time we finally got a proper E-unit. I do find it interesting that they're apparently bundling the U36 DLC in with it as well. I hope that doesn't push the price up too much. It won't matter to me since I want the U36 anyway and don't mind having to buy them both at once, but it could be a turn-off for people who already own it.

Ive been waiting for something like this for years, im ready to do some sp repaints for this, CArailroader knows exactly what im thinking.
Da Build: Intel Core I5-9600k, Nvida RTX 2060 Super, 32 GB ram, and way too much storage.

I cant speak for all but I already own the the U36 but we've all been waiting too long for an E unit Ill be more than happy buying the whole package.

Hahaha I was thinking the same thing as soon as I saw this thread and read the article. Plus that lead to my comment about the working MARs. This repainted, along with all my recent SSRR repaints will lead to just about a full and complete operating fleet for the CSRM/SSRR.
