Very cool! I love commuter rail and urban / industrial switching so this should tick both boxes for me.

Definitely hyped for this, but I wish that we were getting F40PH-2Cs.

Personally, I'm more excited for the San Francisco pier district than the Gilroy extension. That opens up an opportunity for operation of SF Belt Railway's alco S-2's!

I wonder if this 'Extension' will install a new instance of the complete route
Like the North Jersey Coast Line & North Jersey Coast & Morristown Lines and the Bristol - Cardiff & Bristol - Swansea routes

There is a reason the F40PH-2CAT was selected over the F40PH-2C. According to the official CalTrain site (http://www.caltrain.com/about/statsandr ... leets.html) more -2CATs are on the roster while only 3 -2Cs are present.

Based on past experience it is very likely.

It mentioned in the article it will be out as a stand alone route, just like they did with the Morristown add-on.

I wonder if it's still the whole route plus the addition as a stand alone do I still need both installed? Can't I copy the scenarios from the shorter route to the bigger route? Then remove the original smaller route to save hard drive space? Sounds like I have some experimenting to do. !*brav*!
