What kind of F40 will we get for Caltrain?

I'm kind of assuming that they will be more or less a repaint of the Metra trainset, I'm hoping that DTG decides to make an F40PH-2C. That would allow for quite a few repaints to be made.

Also, CalTrain has some ex Metrolink cars. That could be an easy repaint. They look just like Metrolink cars with the stripes and all but have a CalTrain Logo on the top corner. I think Athearn made them in N scale.

There's an F40PH folder with the route but no F40 in game.

If memory serves me correctly, I think it was an SW10.

I did some poking around in the audio files for it and found a few things that might be of interest. There are three files labeled F40HornNEW (start, loop, end), F40BellNEW, HEP generator files (start, loop, end), and files for an alerter system. The HEP files narrow the engine down to either an F40PH-2CAT or an F40PH-2C. I'm still hoping for the latter.

Are they actual audio files or place holders?

I'm not sure, they are DAV files, but I might see about aliasing the horn/bell to an engine.

Aye then they are proper horn files. Could be a new recording or could be a reused horn. Im willing to think it might be that bland K5LA we get with a lot of routes.
