Northeast Corridor (New York - Philadelphia) Removed from Steam Store

Welp it's gone, among other things (http://store.steampowered.com/app/65232/)... saw this on Facebook as a rationale:
"Hi Peter, After careful consideration we have decided to remove around 8 items of DLC from the Steam store. Having assessed our entire catalogue, we came to the conclusion that these particular add-ons were not in a suitable condition to continue selling and were not up to the standard of some of our more recent releases. Anyone who purchased these add-ons prior to their withdrawal will still be able to access and use them in game though."

My question is, why not just lower the sale price instead of remove it altogether... they're screwing over a crap-ton of folks who want to run workshop items for which the removed content are dependencies but for some reason have not purchased that DLC up to this point.

Other than the NEC, do we know what else got dumped?

So no "Toasters" and "AmCans" anymore?
No route for the GG1 either ...
Plus no chance of ever getting any commuter EMU's for the NEC from DTG ....

DTG didn't state the route and DLC will be improved and re-released, did they?

They probably were removed because of all the complainers griping about one thing or another on these items. Ye reap what ye sow.

Incidentally as of this morning it's still there in the store.

What are the other DLC items that have been pulled from the Steam store? Not too satisfied about them being removed, there was plenty of workshop content that made use of them.

Too be fair, it was incredibly sub-par on what is normally released. I'd love to see them redo it and release it fixing the issues with it. Even though there is content for it, selling a crap product really isn't a good idea.

Now I don't regret buying these before they got removed. At least they didn't remove the Metro-North stuff.Maybe DTG just wants users to use the NJ Coast-Line and NYNH instead of the NEC,after all,I believe both of these lines are apart of the NEC.

Ins't that particular one based on the original Kuju SD40-2 Mk I? that model really doesn't match up to the more recent MK II TS2013 and MK III Sherman Hill TS 2016 SD40-2's.

They might plan on redoing it eventually. That would be pretty cool if they did with the same origin point as NJCL and NYNH so a massive merge could be done.

Glad I bought the Acela when I did. I was planning to buy Portland Terminal but now can't thanks to DTG.

Yup exactly couldn't of said it any more better. It would make sense to either make it at a lower price. I was going to think about them having it for free but no DTG can't do that. **!!bang!!** **!!bang!!** !!bang!! !!bang!!
