Stil no word on Bombardier multilevel coaches?

NJT has over 400 of them. They are of far greater importance than this locomotive.

Yeah, I don't know what's up with that.. but hopefully with the next loco they announce for it, will come supplied with Multilevel cars.

As of now, those cars, along with the Arrow EMU'S are at the top of of the list as far as NJT equipment for many people.

Really glad to see a slightly bigger selection of NJT locomotives coming out as official DLC, but there are many pieces of equipment that are of high importance, that are: Multilevels, Comet IIMs, Comet V trailers, and Arrow IIIs.

I was not surprised to see the default Comet IV coach and maybe the usual Comet V cab behind the GP40, which left me beyond disappointed. NJT rosters only 78 Comet IV trailers; and over double (161) the amount of Comet IIM coaches. I also would've loved to see a Comet V trailer as these are often placed behind diesel trains on the Hoboken Division. A Comet IV cab also would've been welcome, as they and Geeps often ran together on the Atlantic City Line.

Judging by the cab it appears some elements were recycled from the DTG GP38-2.

Which should come as no surprise to anyone. But as much as we suspect how they operate, we still support them. Granted, lots of rail equipment look nearly identical.

In my opinion, this could have worked as a marketplace item.

If you're not particularly picky about the operational characteristics, then yea, it would have worked fine as a marketplace item. IMO, NJT equipment is unique enough that it WOULD need to be developed as its own DLC; granted, it'd be really nice if they were able to get it right on the first try.

Point well taken.

I'm crossing my fingers for a PL42 release with accompanying multilevels. It'd make sense because we already have P42 models made for TS that could be tweaked for NJTransit operations, and included multilevel cars would make a DLC release like this more palatable for those who'd otherwise skip it. Seems like a win-win to me; DTG wouldn't have to reinvent the wheel for this addon, and they'd deliver a much-requested item to an eager market.

But I'm not going to hold my breath waiting for them to come out.

What I would honestly like to see, is the multilevels, and the Arrow III's, with a possible, and much needed update to the original NEC route..

It would be a real treat to have that update packaged with the either of the two loco dlc. Mainly with the Arrow EMU's..

Quite honestly, with all the community pressure for them to create Multilevel cars, I'm surprised that there hasn't been any move to actually develop them.

they don't have a current model close enough to copy yet.
