Not bad of a route, will appeal to Britsh simmers quite a lot. The Class 59 suspiciously might be recycling Class 66 sounds, so there's a good chance it'll need the Armstrong Powerhouse treatment.

I hope they don't re-use the sounds as they both have different engines.
The class 59 is just a sd40-2 sqeezed into the british loading guage.

The Class 59 and Class 66 have similar exterior body shell, but different mechanically. The bogies on the 59 are different than those of the 66.

EDIT: The 59 used F40PH 645E3 sounds: http://youtu.be/aD3jlL5zZaU

The class 59 is not a class 66 trev123... :)

New cab, different bogies, different undercarriage and different body details. The class 59 body shell may well have started life off from the class 66 but from there on in it is all a new build.

regards

Derek
