I'm starting this because I know when it is coming!
:)

For those of you that know me and may know the side project I have been working on for the last 8 years then you may or may not be glad to hear that it is very close to being finished and more information will be released by DTGs over the coming weeks.

More information as always on my blog (link in tag)

look forward to you guys pulling it apart! :)

8 years must be something of a record! Certainly counts as a labour of love. Looking forward to seeing it at last and I'm sure it will have been worth the wait. Good luck and I hope you sell a lot.

Excellent news. I've been waiting for this one since I learned about it (years ago now). So glad to hear it will be available soon. Really looking forward to running such a labor of love from such a good route-maker. And so glad it will be official, and so supported by the Workshop.

Just looking through the blog and it looks gorgeous - congratulations on it finally being completed!

Also, congrats on the 100K last year - had no idea there were any other runners that frequented the board. !!*ok*!!

Thank you for the kinds words. While it is coming to the end I still have a couple of late nights ahead of me!
I keep finding new buildings and bridges I need to make which slows my station building down! :)
My running is just something that keeps me off the PC, now that I am in my mid 40s I need to keep active.

Look forward to showing more progress as I go over the coming weeks.

Wow, in development ever since Railworks came out?

Technically I think it has been going since before Rail Simulator came out. But in the early days I was just researching and tinkering while testing the original tools.

Why isn't there a thread about this at UKTrainsim? I looked, but didn't see one.

I closed my RSderek accounts, but kept this one so that people can get hold of me if need be.
I have a lot of history with a few people state side and that is hard to walk away from, plus I have always liked it here. The tone is civilized and welcoming which I enjoy, I often pop back to read up on peoples projects and watch how they evolve. I log in from time to time to check messages.

Many on UKTS know of my blog anyway and I have a nice following and those I made friends with all keep in touch via other means too.

I think Buzz may be right tho! ;)

I was just hoping to mine more info about it there. :-)

But the blog suffices.

Thanks....I have no specific questions. I've just been intrigued by the route and your work since I first came across it years ago. I love these small working routes in the UK. I love China Clay, for instance. Your route looks to similarly capture a complete ambiance, as it were.

I love Bob's route work as well (and have enjoyed the Netherfield and Granfield Branch), and Woodhead is a wonderful collaboration from you and him.

I've returned to the blog from time to time to keep track of your work over the past few years, and am just particularly pleased that it's nearing completion and that I'll have the chance to run it. Thanks for sticking with it and bringing it to us.

While I am sticking with it there have been a few others that have stuck with me too.
What started off as a mad obsession has turned into a team effort.

thanks for those who have taken an interest.

regards
