EMD FL9

Unread postby OpenRailer90 » Sat Dec 20, 2014 12:11 am

I was looking on the achievements page and it appears that an EMD FL9 (Most like NH McGinnis) is in the works. I would not be surprised to see an M2 or Washboard EMU in development as well.

An M2 would be MOST welcome, since they're about to be retired during the first part of 2015.

Ya know, I looked up and down that achievements list and did not see any reference to support the original poster's claims.

Just had to search for this as this is one locomotive I never thought would ever make it to railworks. Did a "ctrl F" on the achievement page and it turned up 5 different achievements for FL9 which im really hoping is the case! Cannot wait for this one! It would be interesting to see what version they come up with being there's at least 5 depending on which era they model it in, including the units that Amtrak acquired.

I just tried the Ctrl+F and still not sign of an FL9. Not a mention nary a hint. Unless it's off the Facebook Page, the community can't go on word of mouth.

They don't show up in the Steam Client list, you have to do the webpage.

Apologies, should have added the fact that they were on the webpage. Didn't think of it.

Not trying to pick nits, but clarity does go a long way to avoiding confusing (let alone) embarrassing situations. Now that the links to the web location showed up, I can see that it's in the achievements area. However, I won't sell myself short and assume that it will be released, what with the issue with the Coaster set as of late.

I'm more interested in this for the VNHRR I think - it's going to be a bit out of place on the NY-NH. But it definitely looks great from the pictures

Edit - Actually, I'm wrong. Apparently ConnDOT at least was running these off the Waterbury and Danbury branches at least as late as 2006, so I stand corrected.
