Looks like RSC is adding a high hood to their GP38-2 and selling it for another 20$

Hopefully DTG will feature this and the Mon Line as a bundle like they've done for the Surfliner and Marias.

Looks great. !!*ok*!!

Besides, the high hoods rarely, if ever, go on the Mon Line anyways.

To my knowledge the only GP38s that ventured the Mon line were P&LE and Monongahela.

As much as I love EMDs (my favorite), DTG needs to throw some love at the GE fans. Some U-Boats, Dash 7s and Dash 8s would be nice to round it out. Plus.... buying all these EMDs will get expensive considering their well of models to choose from is deep. But hey... at least they are keeping them coming. *!greengrin!*
EMD 2-strokes rule! My all time favorite: SD45X also love the SD40-2/SD40T-2/SD45-2/SD45T-2/DD35A/DDA40X/SD70ACe/SD80ACe

It was put on the back burner so they could work on the game "Spintires". Hopefully they will finish it not that the game has been released.

No one at Oovee said they're dropping it. Everything TS related is stalled because we don't have a LUA programmer. http://www.oovee.co.uk/site/jobs

It's available and it's 50% off which was enough for me to grab it.

Much like the SD40-2, I don't quite get why they only did the long hood forward versions. Sure it's interesting but it's becoming less and less common, it's pretty implausible that all the SD40-2s and GP38-2s in any given area would be LHF.

Yeah, but some of us *like* older equipment. So the high-hood units are a nice addition.

The long hood forward and high short hood units are unique to NS. For many, that is a selling point alone. I will say that I would enjoy seeing some Conrail stuff released by DTG. Maybe just the old SD40-2 and GP38-2 would suffice for road and switching duties. I would imagine a separate license would have to be obtained because Conrail is still an entity. 50% off got them a sale here...I'm about to fire up the game and check them out. :)
