news from France

Unread postby jeanpierre » Sat May 31, 2014 2:54 pm

Good evening ,
After some question for the Seattle to Tacoma route ,(I hope that Mr IAN find all solutions) I come back to you to speak about a futur new route (FRENCH ROUTE)....now , it is not a dream , but a next reality...... *!lol!*
We will buy a high speed route , between Paris Montparnasse and Saint-Pierre des Corps.....230kms with the French TGV.....you cans see many pictures on this adress of the author
https://www.facebook.com/pages/Atlantic ... 27?fref=ts
I don't know if I am the first to speak about that , but you can be sure ,may be a little delay accepted, that you can buy it at the end of September.....the author is alone , but you will have also the TGV DUPLEX , and the TGV ATLANTIQUE , and finally a very big yard at St-Pierre des Corps (one of the biggest in France):
So there is some screens of the TGV duplex(8 carriages with 2 levels):
https://www.google.fr/search?q=tgv+dupl ... 26&bih=950
and here is a little vidéo:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=06SrGbuk0Ps
and after some informations about the TGV ATLANTIQUE (10 carriages):
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x2SsqNfJp8s
https://www.google.fr/search?q=tgv+atla ... 26&bih=950
and here , you can find a map of the track (mainline)
https://www.google.fr/search?q=carte+fe ... 26&bih=950
so , we must be patient , it is an enormous job for an alone man , and last information , we will have the CAB-SIGNAL , like the class395 Hitachi on the London/Faversham route , named tvm430 or little different.
and excuse me , please , for my bad English.
regards
Jean-Pierre

Thanks for the news, Jeanpierre. It's especially interesting that this new route may be sold by Just Trains, since I've gotten tired of having to download (and pay for, in many cases) so many items of scenery, rolling stock, etc. just to use one "free" route. Just Trains will, of course, turn it into payware, but at least it will come in one, easy to use package.

Any freight operations to look forward to? I love riding passenger trains in Europe, but find driving them quite boring.

Hello Tom ,
for me , but you must think that it's a personnal idea, it is a TGV route......so , in a big majority , we will find passengers activities......by TGV......with a TGV duplex or a TGV réseau , one in first time , but at last we will get the two TGV.....payware each ????
But at St-Pierre des corps , there is a very big Yard.....and I can , sometimes , speak with the author....certainely we will have some marshalling activities .....only , I hope some good french diesel engine for that....
and surely , some free activites from railsim-fr.com arrive after....
and sorry for my bad English , I try to give you some informations....
hope you enjoy that
sincerly you

I think the TVM on this route will be compatible with London Faversham.
