I don't know about the new route, but I'm impressed that they now have a team fixing bugs in existing content.
Also this:
improved realism in the acceleration and braking performance of trains, weather and other scripted effects and events on routes

Ummm, hey, y'all, I can wait on another route, but the rest of that article about FIXING STUFF ??????????????? (yeah, I know, Chacal said that already) !*brav*! !*YAAA*! **!!bow!!** Test Trak coming back? !!*ok*!! I might just be ready to !*drool*! over running trains again. Thanks, Adam/ RSC/ Dovetail. !!howdy!! !*cheers*!

Sound's like a lot of the UK stuff is being reworked. !**conf**! Guess we will just wait and see.

I'm wondering if that "acceleration" fix means just for the loco or is a physics upgrade for when it's pulling a heavy train? !**conf**!

As for what new US route? My guess is something in the eastern-half of the USA. With Donner Pass, Sherman Hill, Marias Pass, Pacific Surfliner and Stevens Pass being in the western-half, I could see the east getting some love this time.

I remember a past poll of theirs having Mullan Pass and a Chicago area commuter route being neck and neck for the longest time. Even though I personally like freight routes (Mullan Pass), I'm sure the Chicago area commuter route would be the more welcome of the two for a change.

Personally I hope it's either a Florida CSX route or something around the Appalachian mountain chain. Even a route in the swamps of Louisiana would be nice too. !!*ok*!!

Hopefully it will be something like Minneapolis/St. Paul to St. Cloud in Minnesota. BNSF mainline, Amtrak Empire Builder, and North Star Corridor; what's not to love? Or even better, Virginia to Duluth (via Proctor) including the Lake Branch to Two Harbors, maybe with DMIR liveried units and North Shore Scenic Railroad rolling stock! !*drool*!

But they probably wouldn't be interested in any Minnesota routes...

My **!!2cents!!**

Given Adam was talking about the signalling complexity, my thoughts are along the lines of a commuter route where there are a considerable number of lines and trains. Another single / double long haul diseasel freight line shouldn't pose too many issues I would have thought.

Personally I am hanging out waiting for the next exciting installment of the VNHRR - love me some steam *!lol!*

!*cheers*!

If you own a steam loco you can run a QD scenario with it on the VNHRR. I've run the PRR K4s this way and it's really cool!

Hopefully it'll be a NS/CSX route or a Amtrak route such as the Auto train or another part of a long distance train route.

I wouldn't count on CSX

I have a vague rememberance of talk of the New York - New Haven Corridor. Would be great if they included both Penn Station and Grand Central. There's enough commuter traffic there to drive a grown man sane.

Why? They don't license out stuff? Come to think of it...unless someone knows otherwise, Run 8 is the only sim offering CSX locos and routes from the sim maker. All other CSX stuff I've seen has been 3rd party. !*don-know!*
