Looks like the cries have finally been answered



I can finally give the F59s a break from long distance.

As a person that brought this when it came out, I'm feeling indifferent about getting it again with another 20 bucks. I hope RSC (oophs Dovetail) will either give those that brought this before a discount or a freebie. I'm pretty sure this isn't a scratch build again made but a redone.

If history is any indicator, like the recently updated DDA40X and others, RSC/DTG will UPDATE current owners of the DLC for no charge. No one should be charged for DLC they currently own.

That is a news i can ride with. Now I wonder if this "Empire Builder" includes the Superliners from DTM. Otherwise I don't see why the name was included in the title.

And yes hope they fix the alerter issue.

What issue? The only issues that the locomotive has are with the air brakes.

When you continue a saved scenario, the engine starts with emergency brakes applied.
Not sure this is related to the alerter.

Nice! I've been waiting for this one to come back. Hopefully with the re-release of this one and the DD40 the GP30's aren't far behind.

As for the Empire name placed on here, my guess is they include scenarios for Steves or Marias; which the Empire Builder runs on.

Is Gtraxx doing this when will it be released?

I'm curious. Does this model keep a high engine rpm at stops like the real P42s? I can't remember which equivalent notch it is, but they supply HEP to the cars and idle very high when making a stop in a station.

I was waiting for this too. Now long haul Amtrak trains will once again become a reality.

All we need now for older time periods and nostalgia derailment purposes is an EMD SDP40F (j/k wasn't the loco's fault) and GE P30CH (in this case, most likely the loco's fault).

I think the only reason some of us got the free update to the DDA40X was because of Cesar's involvement with the original. IIRC, G Trax made the Genesis, and Cesar did the Superliners, right? So, maybe existing owners will get a freebie, but I'm not gonna hold my breath. Even tho I like the color blue. Still remains to be seen if Superliners are even in this set, right?

I am excited to see this return. It's the one piece of DLC I regretted not buying when I had the chance.
