I started this however don't hold your breath. There are about 99,999 bits and pieces to this model so this will take a bit of time.

Which model would you like to use for the caboose?

Thanks Buzz!

Probably Michael Stephan's ATSF Rebuilt Ce-1 Class Cabooses will be closest. Unless you have worked / recommend another. I have most everything.

That's fine. I've done a couple of them. It's pretty user friendly to repaint.

I managed to get the lights working properly on the RS-3. I own the original NYC RS-3 from Diesel Workshop so I give no guarantee it will still work with any newer versions from DW.

Locate the BostonAlbanyAssets.ap in \Railworks\Assets\G-TraX\BostonAlbany\
and extract the RailVehicles folder into the same \Railworks\Assets\G-TraX\BostonAlbany\ folder.

In the RailWorks\Assets\G-TraX\BostonAlbany\RailVehicles\Diesel\RS-3 NYC\Engine\ folder, do the following:

Delete
ALCo RS-3 NYC.bin
ALCo RS-3 NYC_ND.bin
ALCo RS-3 NYC_Pass.bin
ALCo RS-3 NYC_Pass_ND.bin
ie. the four .bin files which do not have " - Kopie" in the name.

Rename
ALCo RS-3 NYC - Kopie.bin to ALCo RS-3 NYC.bin
ALCo RS-3 NYC_ND - Kopie.bin to ALCo RS-3 NYC_ND.bin
ALCo RS-3 NYC_Pass - Kopie.bin to ALCo RS-3 NYC_Pass.bin
ALCo RS-3 NYC_Pass_ND - Kopie.bin to ALCo RS-3 NYC_Pass_ND.bin
ie. remove the " - Kopie" from each .bin file

Test in TSC after clearing cache.
To undo the above, just delete the \Railworks\Assets\G-TraX\BostonAlbany\RailVehicles\ folder.

Hi all,

Thanks much for the many comments about the route! !*cheers*!

We are currently assembling bugfixes for a post-release patch which will address a number of issues that have been reported, including the RS-3 headlights being stuck switched on (which I somehow broke while fixing another bug) and the corrupted file in the .ap that affects the PA. A detailed changelog will be made available when the patch goes live.

Cheers,
Michael

Looking forward to it. Truly a great route and some tweaking/patching will just improve it.

It was fun driving out of South Station through Back Bay and seeing how different it is in that area than the modern era modelled in the TSW route.

I just spent a frustrating 20 minutes trying to get the PA moving. I think I must have tried every combination of all these freaking settings at least twice restarted the scenario and still no joy. Dam* throttle won't go forward. What a pain in the ar*e. On to something more enjoyable.

Honestly haven't tried the PA yet. Been too obsessed with the HH660/RS3/incorporating engines from connecting railroads (New Haven, Boston and Maine, Central Vermont).

I, for one, am loving the route. The assets they use are also really nice for my own personal route construction side projects. It's all very New England-esque.
