Totally agreed.
Love the route - being across the Pond and having no first hand knowledge of the area, scenery and accuracy of what is represented (other than the MSTS Clinchfield route and Rich Garber's area associated L&N Cumberland route), it looks good and is certainly immersive. As to the stock, well DTG's home grown never ever matches providers like G-Trax etc. but at least there is something to run out of the box with. If you have the abilities, there are plenty of alternatives to directly swap out using RW Tool (now TS Tools).
At least DTG are still here and providing DLC for people to complain about - and they don't just focus on UK or European routes & stock which they could readily have done. Just consider, what if they had withdrawn licensing for all US 3rd party payware?
I know there is an objection to the "you don't need to buy" concept, but there really is no compulsion to buy and there is a totally excellent refund system available which I have used on a number of occasions - sometimes just waiting for a sale to repurchase...
It isn't "try before you buy" but is as good as. Beyond providing you with
exactly what you have paid for, and as long as that has been delivered, DTG owes no-one anything (other than to their shareholders and staff) - just go for the refund. If they promised fully accurate stock, trackwork etc. etc., didn't deliver, and then refused a refund, that would be an issue.
Wait for the reviews - both route and stock.
Constructive criticism is always useful, but if your experience leads you to believe whatever DTG produces is going to be a pile of rubbish, well...
Just my 2 cents...or 2 ha'pennies
