I'd be willing to bet the rollingstock will be included. !!det!!

Just want to add a note about the potential freight rolling stock, identified in the unsigned preview at Engine Driver as, "a selection of era-appropriate freight rolling stock, including a D&RGW caboose". When plugged into my RSCBlather to English translator, this comes out as "one repaint and a lot of other stuff we've already sold you with previous DLC packs".

I may be wrong, of course, and indeed hope to be so, but RSC has done little in recent years to lead me to expect anything else.

!!jabber!!

Ps: Alex's freeware version is tempting, but there I'm a bit discouraged by the required download from UKTS where, not currently being a member, I'd have to wait in line quite a while. Oh, the woes of the retired! !!jabber!! !!jabber!! !!jabber!!

Come on, Kid, this route obviously represents the Summit in Clean Land. Look beyond the engines: roads, other vehicles, snow, buildings: all scrubbed to within the proverbial inch of their life. One thing no train simulator gives us is good, old-fashioned, realistic d-i-r-t.

Then again, maybe I just have dirt on my mind today after power-washing my driveway yesterday. !*YAAA*! !*roll-laugh*! !*don-know!*

This is the biggest thing I've noticed with this sim, not that it's a hugely glaring flaw but you don't really get a proper feel for the areas, in my opinion. Especially the Surfliner; Hobart and Commerce are incredibly dirty, gritty, industrial areas, not the most pleasant places to be in real life but in the sim you don't get any real sense of that. Cajon is similar as well, Barstow is a pretty desolate place. There's no real sense of how run down many areas of that part of the Mojave are. They're still some of my favorite routes but the atmosphere between the game and real life is pretty striking.

Regarding the rolling stock, I wouldn't be surprised if they include everything pictured, especially considering it's not anything new being created but rather updating already existing stock to the TS2015 standard- the SD40T-2 being from Donner, the GP9 that's been around forever, and the F40PH from the CAZehphyr pack that's been around a couple of years now. I see they equipped the DRGW power with the proper light arrangements, realistically they would be just fine to add some lens flare and gyralites (which I'm hopeful for, the P30CH has one) and it would be a solid lineup.

Didn't realize that as I have had that route since 2010.

Aren't I feeling kind today, I have found an alternative site for you to download it from. Don't know what the speed is like. http://www.trainsimdev.com/forum/downlo ... il&df_id=6

Are there more than one set of air horns on the GP9? It could be an illusion, but my eyes see 3 sets of horns in the screenshot on the previous page...

I see three sets too.

IIRC the horns on the GP9 (original) had two facing the short hood and two facing the long hood.

I dunno. They seem to have changed their 'Thursday release' tune of late. The P30CH last Wednesday, and that new High Speed Chinese unit today.
