Nah, as was to be expected, it got pushed to the back of the queue again. I almost wish I'd just released to the RWA library instead, like I did with the FEF-3 update (except that it confused some people when it was eventually released on Steam, so I preferred to avoid that hassle this time around).

^ If the update is on the file library there is an inconvenience - if the game is updated or file verified then the updated files will be replaced with the older ones.

Yes, Steam just downloaded the updated pack and scenario to my install.

It sounds like it will be a very nice improvement. Thanks for putting the time and effort into updating it! **!!bow!!**

Looks like I'll be rerunning some old scenarios tonight. !*cheers*!

I'm sure you're all going to like the improvements :D

MattP showcased it in a couple of scenarios (by bpetit) tonight, on his TwitchTV channel. I couldn't see or hear the stream (my internet connection is prehistoric compared to most people's) but I was able to read the chat messages and I could see that it got a very good reception, especially the wheel slip. Hopefully I'll be able to watch the session on YouTube soon (when Matt finds time to upload it).

Hey Mike!
Is there anything I need to change on any of my repaints to make sure they're updated also?

Hi Joe,

I don't think you need to change anything - the only thing I changed in the geometry was the mapping of the red floating ball in the sight glass. I also added some shading in the RGB and alpha channels of the boiler textures, to make the underside of the boiler darker, but you can copy that into your textures.

!*cheers*!

Thanks Mike for your continued support and hard work on our behalf - you do spoil us. Hope to get some time on the weekend to take her for a spin. Between this, Dicks new USRA's and the LWA expansion its like being 10 again in the candy store *!lol!*

I've just posted this on my facebook:

Sorry folks, there's a mistake in the packaging of the ConsolidationAssets.ap file for the upgrade released on Steam yesterday - the two engine bins (Consolidation.bin) for the advanced Lined and Weathered versions are not the correct files. I've re-sent them to DTG and hopefully there'll be a hot fix very soon.
The symptoms of the error are that, in the Lined and Weathered versions only, the steam chest pressure needle reads more than double the correct value, and when it should be showing 200psi, it goes right off the scale. It works fine in the default (all black) version (and the HUD versions are unaffected).

Basically, they forgot to include a couple of updated bin files I sent them in March.

I almost did, but it seemed to confuse some people when they eventually got the update for the FEF-3 through Steam, so I decided to hold fire on this one.

I've just remembered one thing to keep in mind about the repaints - there are new engine bin files that you have to use, so if you copied and edited the old ones (to change references to the texture folders), you'll need to do it again but with the new Consolidation.bin files. Also, before you do it, wait for the hot fix that corrects the Lined and Weathered bin files.

Come to think of it, I'll have to do that with all the repaints I uploaded to the file library here at RWA *!rolleyes!*
