so watching the stream of ts 2019 was cool. the route had 63 ai trains all running with no issues and i think it used 3.4 gb ram over all on that route. there some lag here and there but i think they where running it on hard drive. there will be icon showing x64 version for ts-2019. one thing he did say was in route editor you get black line on 32 parallel, i dunno what that is but seem it got fixed. also you can move the hands on clock in quick drive. ts-2019 look really cool.

From the stream -
1. New Logmate
2. Now they promise that you sont get black lines when making distant mountains I guess. I had this problems and I had posted here also.
3. Silverlining have been improved.
4. Version will be 65.3b x64

3.4 GB is just within the crash limits of 32 bits RailWorks

So we will get some core files in both 32 bits and 64 bits versions, notably railworks.exe, serz.exe, gamemanager.dll and some miscellaneous support files. And all RSC/DTG commercial DLC works without a hitch?

There still could be problems with the more advanced scripts in 3rd party DLC, but that is probably outside the warranty DTG gives.

3 more days to wait and start testing.

What Griphos wrote is very sensible: when you have enough free space on your games drive, let Steam download a fresh install and start from there with mods, hacks and the Workshop.

I'm giving some big points to DTG on this. Yes, I actually said that. The 'black line in distant terrain' thing may not sound like much, but it means that they are actually listening to SOME of our feedback over the years. That they are addressing that while 'under the hood' tuning up the old game makes me quite glad.

Anyone who is building/has built a North/South running route should be rejoicing right now. Hack: !*cheers*!

Just watched a saved version of the Twitch stream. I would have thought that they would have put their best possible endeavors into making sure this showed the new version in the best possible light, unless of course that was the best possible, in which case you might want to keep the 32 bit version. The graphic lag, particularly when passing under signal gantries for some reason, brought the thing to its knees. FPS would have been in single digits. It might be all well and good to be able to run 63 ai trains, but it defeats the purpose if it looks like a Victorian lantern slide show. Not sure what their issue is. Going to be interesting to see user reactions at the end of the week...

The amount of trains moving, without crashing is a good demonstration of what the game can handle. The FPS... well, thats up to the GPU. I do agree that it probably sends the wrong message, so I hope they prefaced that in the stream.

I would be overjoyed to have 3 or 4 AI trains moving in an asset intense tile without crashing.

Its like what I hear a lot in today's society, "It is What It is", move on, "Bite the Bullet" make amends as this is what you have been asking for. Quit whining and make the changes, do what you have to do to make it work. Myself, I am glad to see the change come, and am ready to make those changes right along with the rest of us who have a positive look on DTG's aggressive move to the newer technologies, a little late, but better late than never.

You guys are missing the point completely with this upgrade to 64bit. The problem is not the game, it's us, it's humans! Mark my words: On Friday, October 12, 2018. Train Simulator will become self-aware. Stay away from your computers, If you have a shelter, lock your self in it .. but most of all … stay away from the train tracks!

Know this: Train Simulator can't be bargained with, it can't be reasoned with. It doesn't feel pity, or remorse, or fear, and it absolutely will not stop. Ever.

Enjoy the rest of the week guys! *!greengrin!*

Its probably paranoia, but I'm making an extra backup of any important TS projects before 64bit rolls out.

One should do that on a regular basis anyway in the event of some catastrophic computer failure.

I have a automatic backup on a WD ultra external SSD nightly and then usually do a full backup on another external drive once a week or so. These external drives are less than a hundred bucks and well worth it opposed to the hours and hours it takes to restore stuff if you get the big oh s**t. As many of you know I also have a lot of files of odds and ends on Dropbox.

Owned and operated by Skynet. !*roll-laugh*!

One more day until it comes out. I'm excited about this update. Other than less crashing, does it affect game performance at all?

Saw this.....

“Updated the SilverLining configuration so it doesn't produce overly blue scenes...”

If you are using Alpenfreight’s Mod, you will need to keep an eye on this.....
