Yep, I saw that. But I've had no luck installing theirs on the Kuju SD40-2 - it lost the bell completely.

I was thinking more of a direct replacement for one or more .dav files

We are not talking about the Kuju locomotive. As I remember it's configured differently than our more modern ones. In fact I'm not sure all of them are even the same. That's a whole different subject.

Agreed, but as I couldn't get the horn to work correctly on the Kuju model, with files provided by Searchlight that were set up for that version, I don't fancy my chances at getting it working on the DTG pack!

I'm very conversant with editing .bin files etc, but I seem to have a blind spot when it comes to Searchlight horns :)

Yes, I think some of the earlier versions had horn and bell combined into the "horn" sounds. But I assume Searchlight took that into account when creating the files?

Tonight when I get home I'll look at how I did the setup for the Searchlight stuff and post it with some detail. If memory serves it was pretty simple, like maybe I only changed to engine or cabfolders??

Our newer horn blueprints from enhancement packs use a separate blueprint for the bell because the bell ring rate is controlled by the script.

Would the horn and bell from the Soldier Summit SD40-2 be suitable for the GP40-2 and if so how would I swap it over?

Yes because it uses the Kuju SD40-2 horn and bell by default.
