For those that are comfortable with a bit of simple modding & don't want to wait,

temporary fix:

create the directory System\TexturesCMTx\ and copy the texture GX_Stations01 into it.

The texture is in System\TexturesCMT\

either in the SystemAP file or a separate folder for those that grabbed Buzz's logo fix.

!*cheers*!

NVergilio wrote:Love the route, but seems like there is a couple issues I still have. Wondering if anyone else has it. My F40PHs are still in notch 8 in a free roam scenario when idle until selected, and also the bell on the cabcar does not get quieter as you move the camera farther from the train, it stays as loud as being next to the train even if the camera is nearly a mile away. Apart from those issues, I love running the route, and I got a lot to do still, not just with "Metra" but also Amtrak and BNSF.

Haven't observed any issues with the cab car bell (aside from previously mentioned issue with restarts - which may be a core issue) will investigate

For the F40; AI consists are scripted to run in "HEP mode" by default, so will always sound as if they are in Run8.

Memory says this is the F40 VLP & F40 (ND) version.

For those of you who haven't read the excellent manual hitting the P key will turn the HEP off and on.

I've used RW_Tools to correct the faulty path in GX_Cirero02.GeoPcDx, now the sign is showing.

One small issue with the GP38's I'm having - it's actually the same issue I had with the previous GP38 DLC. The horn sounds very abrupt, almost as if the RS3K_end.dav sound file is not playing (any maybe the starting horn sounds file as well?). I had a look in the GP38-2 Horn.proxyxml file and compared it to some other horn proxyxml files, but couldn't find anything that looked noticeably different that might prevent the RS3K_end.dav file from playing. Admittedly I'm a bit out of my league here so I'm not sure I would recognize something amiss if I saw it.

Anyone else notice this/have an idea for a solution?

Thanks

I think something about this was posted in the other fourm but on the cabcar the bell turns off after 5 to ten seconds.
This is even if I turn on the Bell without the horn.

Physics mod V1.0 released:

Basic changes:
1. Modified tractive effort and braking effort curves.
2. Modified power ratings @ alternator and @ wheel.
3. Modified cab car fuel capacity.
4. Removed coupler slack.
5. Changed brake pipe normal pressure from 90 PSI to 110 PSI. Actual Metra equipment runs with 90 PSI in the brake pipe, but the game engine runs the brake gauges a little better if the pressure is set to 110 PSI. In addition, there is an issue with custom built consists with the cab leading not taking power if the brake pipe is set to 90 PSI. A future edition of this physics mod will be released to correct this problem; at which time, we will revert back to using the 90 PSI brake pipe.
6. Modified the cab car so that it does not provide tractive effort to the train set; only the locomotive applies tractive effort after the installation of this mod.
7. Adjusted cab car HUD ammeter upper limit from 1500 to 1800.

That worked a treat Joseph, thank you, nice and easy. I've taken the liberty to give a review and posted it on the UK and Train-sim forums, so, word has got round, many thanks for this route, you've done a wonderful job of it.

My only complaint is I keep getting caught speeding while I'm looking at the scenery ;-)

Seriously, really loving this route.

The Chicago Racetrack is a fantastic, stunning, and realistic route. Thanks for all your hard work. Only thing that seems to be missing are the many outdoor sign structures.
I've added many from the fine collection of RCAP to give Chicago a more urban look, bit I'm looking for more. (I live just south of Chicago).
If any builders out here could add these to some structures, I would be most appreciated.
