I'm sure to make a number of runs on this line, such as the Illinois Zephyr and Carl Sandburg services using the P42DC and the NY-NH route for the Amfleet coaches, and some freight stock.

Also, will the F40PH 'screamer' included run in HEP mode (constant speed engine), and any included freight cars?

If the F40 isn't in screamer mode, you can be sure I'll make it so.

But could you do it to the crewed engine instead of the no crew one?

That's not prototypical, when a passenger train needs extra power it turns on HEP on a locomotive that does not have crew operating inside it.

Well, this looks very good, 'The Windy City' in Railworks, I'll set my weather pattern to cyclonic depressions for realism...... !*roll-laugh*!

I use this Metra F40PH repaint from the library, it's the only one I could find, it uses Dave Brindley's alias original model, I assume it would be OK on this layout for authenticity.

I like the idea for VLP on the passenger cars, Great Northerner did a couple of low poly freight cars a couple of years back, but, we've never had enough in the game, ever, we could certainly do with a few more items to populate our yards with.

I will follow this topic closely, good luck with your litle project, Gentlemen. !*salute*!

Metra commuter trains that have have a single F40PH(-2) have the prime mover running at a constant speed. So basically the crew and no-crew variants have the prime mover running at a constant speed. Fan, will you offer separate physics for the TriRail F40PHL-2 to have both the crew and no-crew versions both run in HEP or no-HEP mode?

I have sounds for em I just got to bring them over. Not too hard.

These sounds are terrific! They might be welcome, depending on whatever source DTG took their stock sounds from. *!rolleyes!*

The few posted screenshots of Chicago are wonderful. I am overjoyed to see this route come to virtual life.

Just a quick question to Rick/Joseph/anyone, is this route still a WIP, or, is it now completed, and might it feature in today's Twitch Advanced Preview, that DTG do, or, possibly next Friday???

We are close, but not THAT close.

In the meantime, here's a WIP peek:

Are the wayside signals and crossing signals from the BNSF Stevens Pass route being used in the new BNSF/Metra racetrack route Ricksan?
