Well, I was doing some research on this, and came across this image. Not an AC6000CW (or even a GE product) but it shows a loco with a very high plow, also. Maybe the way DTG depicted this DLC was unusual, but not unprototypical.

Having finally found a link to the users' manual for this DLC ( http://www.railsimulator.com/support-as ... l%20EN.pdf ), I see that this model features a nose hatch that can be opened, presumably via mouse. This appears in one of the manual's screenshots, but is not mentioned anywhere, nor is there anything about other windows or doors that may open.

I've seen similar nose hatches in models made by other providers, but cannot for the life of me understand their purpose. The scenario editor does not include open or close instructions of any kind. It might be visually interesting to have an idle engine parked somewhere with its nose hatch or other orifices propped open, but I cannot see how this would be possible, since these "features" cannot be pre-set in the editor.

It's so you can open the door to bother the rail fans you drive by and to ruin your own screenshots. Lol

I guess it's just like how there's a clipboard on the back wall of the interior of the cab, and you can "open" the clipboard spring. This, of course, serves no purpose other than to be "something to click on". There is no sim-functionality purpose for some of these things.

Edit: Let me just say, even so, this locomotive is a MAJOR step forward in the realism department (aka "Simulator" as opposed to "Game") in my opinion. I'm not attacking the decision to include these clickspots...but only confirming there's no functionality you're missing. You're right they're just for visual appeal.

The door does open. In outside view it is closed.
