I'm going to guess it will be CSX, and that's because it has Tri-rail in this route, and I don't think Tri-rail runs on the Florida east coast.

From Wikipedia:Tri-Rail (reporting mark TRCX) is a commuter rail line linking Miami, Fort Lauderdale, and West Palm Beach, Florida, United States. It is managed by the South Florida Regional Transportation Authority (SFRTA) along CSX Transportation's former Miami Subdivision, the line now wholly owned by the Florida DOT. The 70.9-mile-long (114.1 km) system has 18 stations along the Southeast Florida coast, and connects directly to Amtrak at numerous stations, and to Metrorail at the Tri-Rail and Metrorail Transfer Station. Beginning in early 2015, it will connect with both systems at Miami Central Station at Miami International Airport.

A second Tri-Rail line on the Florida East Coast Railway corridor, dubbed the "Coastal Link", is being planned, to be operational by 2020. The planned line will operate between Jupiter and Government Center in Downtown Miami, and add passenger rail between the downtown areas of West Palm Beach, Fort Lauderdale, and Miami. Combined with the existing Tri-Rail line, the Tri-Rail system would have a daily passenger ridership of almost 30,000; or approximately 9 million passengers per annum, doubling Tri-Rail's current ridership.

I notated a map of WPB that might help clarify the railroad layout in that area. As you can see the CSX and FEC right of ways are only about two tenths of a mile apart! They are completely separate lines and as Buzz noted the former CSX trackage is owned and operated by FDOT in that area while the FEC is a subsidiary of Railroad Acquisition Holdings. I also noted on the map where the station pictured in the screenshot of the DTG WIP route is located. The two railroads do have some transfer points, for example in this map the Windsor Avenue Wye at 25th Street. These rail connections are for local freight operations and are not used for passenger trains.

Again, I hope they make something other than CSX. There is nearly zero CSX traffic on this route except for early morning runs.

What's wrong with using a little imagination? Besides, we've only seen a fraction of what could be in the sim. Why not just be patient and see what happens. Odds are, DTG will make the route (and whatever equipment is presented in the screenshots and teasers) and a DLC, and more likely than not bundle it. Then we can wait for the next sale (how many times per year do we get this chance?) and save money, while still having something fun to do.

There's more CSX traffic than you might think although most of it runs at night. Here's a list a friend shared on another forum:

Miami Sub Trains

Here is a list of CSX movements that occur with some regularity on weekdays on the Miami Subdivision. Many/most of the rock trains operate on an "as needed" basis and certainly not everyday. Almost all trains operate (typically) at night. I have marked with an asterisk those movements (which are switch and local jobs) that consistently operate during the day.

Q453 Manifest freight (from Jacksonville)
Q452 Manifest freight (to Jacksonville)
K977 Sanford rock empties
K978 Sanford rock
K947 Sanford, Taft rock empties
K948 Sanford, Taft rock
K940 Sanford rock
K941 Sanford rock empties
K973 Jacksonville rock empties from Yelvington
K974 Jacksonville rock for Conrad Yelvington
K995 Tampa rock empties
K996 Tampa rock
K915 Ocala rock empties
K916 Ocala rock
West Palm switcher*
Pompano switcher*
Ft Lauderdale switcher
Homestead switcher*
Deerfield switcher
Sterling switcher (Miami rock)
Miami switcher*

So there are lots of freight possibilities in addition to four Amtrak trains and "umpteen" TriRail trains.

If they don't do the FEC there will be a modified route in short order.

The colors on the locomotive are a bit dark, and the letters are just a bit too far apart. Other than that, it looks great! !!*ok*!!

Thanks for sharing this! I never realized there were that many CSX trains. Even still, if DTG doesn't model Tri-Rail, there are essentially zero operations to be done under the sun.

The middle part seems off, the dip in the body over the engine doesn't seem right.

In this picture the "dip"(is there a word for this? Dip sounds weird) seems a lot deeper than the photo.

Could it be the Angle of View? Photography can produce distortions if you're not too careful. Or maybe the point is to have us all guessing. This seems too much like filler rolling stock to me.

The trucks seem a bit large but that could be due to the angle or FOV of the shot, and overall it looks like a good model. Once the change the grating on the intakes to black it will look much better and not so grey. It also needs to be dirtied up significantly; it's been a long time since I've seen a shiny Dash-8 in a non-YN3 scheme.
