Did I notice new signals in those pics? Signals with three lights per head arranged in a triangle?

There is a FREEWARE route that is almost exactly like this route. Its been out for a while . It's called PLE Final by OTTO. I have this route and it is one of my favorites to drive! He even built Conway Yard!! This route starts at 2 points. The first being Brownsville and the second being Connellsville. Both run north to Pittsburgh along the Monongahela River. You also can start going through town in Brownsville too. Here is the Link http://www.otto-wipfel.co.uk/ its called PLE Final. There are 2 Links Both have RW Routes which are all Awesome!!! 1 has PLE Final Connellsville to Baltimore and Assets for Connellsville to Baltimore and the other has a few routes for RW TS2014 and MSTS

I did a video route tour of PLE Final on my YouTube channel if you want to see it here is the link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M4w-XAkXV_U

ENJOY!!

The P&LE route is hosted by Otto, not made by him. This route was created by Thomas Bontempo. This was not part of the P&LE. It connected with the "Little Giant" at Brownsville.

For quite a few years, beginning I think before RWA existed, I followed the Trainsim.com forums related to RailSimulator and its successors. This included lots of threads related to routes created by Thomas Bontempo, edited and improved ( *!rolleyes!* ) by Otto, and eventually published by the latter. What I remember most are the constant temper tantrums by both creator and editor, usually leading to threats or promises to give up making routes and to abandon the forums forever. These absences usually lasted less than a month. Frankly, I never tried any of those routes, mostly due to the large number of complaints about missing resources, rolling stock, faulty or damaging downloads, etc. Frankly, I still wouldn't touch one of them with the proverbial ten-foot pole, but evidently some folks have had success with them and enjoy them.

And that's my **!!2cents!!** for today.

Having largely gotten past all of the drama mentioned above these routes have largely been beaten into submission and seem to run with no problems. They are all large routes using a fair amount of horsepower so they are not for lower end machines but they do work just fine.

I have to agree with Buzz on all levels. The routes mentioned furnish all the enjoyment and function I desire or need, without problems.

Having worked all my business life with creative folks I perhaps have more empathy with their outbursts of frustration. One thing they have in common is a mind-blowing perseverance in the face of calamities, disasters and often endless revisions. And in this case they donated their work to those of us who choose to use it.

Please excuse the rant, Tom. It seems you hit my hot button. !!**sorry**!!

Although the above aren't mine (that I'm aware), I created a high poly set for someone else's project last year:

I got yelled at on ENGINEDRIVER. I posted the link to the PLE Final and it was removed. I posted there is a route almost just like this one but it is freeware and I posted the link to it. They said is was misguiding people to thinking the route is all ready out as freeware and I Specifically said where the route ran from and too plus what as all included in the route. I mentioned that it Started in Connellsville and also started in Brownsville and ran north to Pittsburgh. If that isn't the same exact route then how is it misguiding. I didn't say is was this route but one like it. GOD FORBID I try to save some people forty bucks if not more on a PAYWARE Route from the Steam DLC Store! That is the real reason cause people won't buy the route if there is something similar and probably better that there route. LOL What a joke! Steam and Dovetale are lucky they have the best game out right now cause the DLC's are CRAZY EXPENSIVE! ** I added it up at one point. I think it cam up to 8 to 10 thousand dollars to own every DLC for this game. REALLY? !*don-know!* A VIDEO GAME SHOULD NOT COST THAT MUCH!!! !*not-ok*! ! If it wasn't for my Rich Uncle who loves trains and this game as much as I do I wouldn't own half the DLC's I have now. Sorry to complain so much.

@Mathew. Who are you to say what something should or shouldn't cost? You have the free will to not purchase anything if you think it costs too much. If you don't like what they charge then don't buy it. Problem solved.

If you bother to read all of this thread I think you will find out that the Monongahela ran from Brownsville south so it is not the same route.
