The screen with 453 in the lead? It looks like all the rear trucks on the cars have the back half missing. You can see better in the first screen in that post. I've been driving in the cab so haven't really noticed for myself.

I grew up there, during the years when Union Station flourished and passenger trains used an enormous wye to back into the shed. I wasn't as aware of the switching and storage facilities, which have apparently survived. I wonder whether a route could encompass several time periods in the same way that one can accommodate various seasons? Probably not, but a package that included the same route at several different time periods would be, I think, very interesting. Enough babbling on my part!

I'm going to try to do some recordings with these bad boys under my truck. Hopefully I have good luck.

I'll only be able to do the cab car though since the f59phi has a unique sound that I wont be able to replicate.

I live a couple blocks from the Fullerton depot so I took a quick drive to see how accurate Fullerton was portrayed. Aside from some inconsistencies in some trackage and the signals in both directions at the station, it looks pretty good. I give it a solid "B" grade. Too bad I can't get the full experience with the raildriver as the train brake does not work with the cab car or the f59phi. Also the aforementioned brake cylinder issue when under a small brake application.

It is documented somewhere that the signals are done the way they are done because of limitations in TS. Mainly the AI dispatcher. So 0 link signals (absolute?) are at each end of most stations.

The position of the signals at Fullerton appear to in or near the correct, real life location, but just west of the station (heading to LA from Fullerton) you would see a cantilever signal stand rather than the single post signals that are in the route.

Best pic I could find at Fullerton facing west (its a big pic, so I wont hotlink it)

It's just a slight reproduction issue that I saw but doesn't bother me one bit, but that is good to know why they did that.

I had a signal bridge there and one of the beta testers who lives over there somewhere said it was post and not a bridge !*don-know!* I could not see them very well on google earth or bing. Just did the best I could.

After spending some time exploring the PSR this weekend, all I can say is WOW! !*YAAA*!
This is everything I expected and more. This is by far the best effort yet for a TS route IMHO.
A big kudos to the entire team that worked on this masterpiece! !*salute*!

The attention to detail is amazing.

You mean from Cumbres to San Diego?

I think it is. That Miramar hill is quite a challenge however, with those steep grades and low maximum speeds permitted.

I also have run a DB BR424 trainset over the San Diego trolley tracks. They seem fully operational and are just as good as the mainline in running quality.

The low floor is good for these platforms and the 4 car trainset just fits.
The BR424 panto doesn't touch the wire, so that means that the UK Croydon tram or the PCC car are probably also short of reaching the wire.
Hopefully there will be some Duewag articulated LRV's in the future to run over those tracks.
Are end-to-end continuous shuttle services possible in AI?

It was San Diego to Encinitas which was my section. I kind of forgot how long this line was. :)

Glad its ok. I did worry about San Diego, its so well known I knew anyone would spot problems a mile off. As it was, to the east side of the tracks in some places I deliberately flattened the ground, just so I could use asset blocks upon it. Im glad its not too evident. I made sure I put in the infamous car park on the approach to the airport.

I didnt emplace the station or the tram platforms, that all got put in after I finished the scenery. it was a bit of a relief to see that it all seemed to fit together nicely. Im sure tweaking by Dan helped, he was the main man who held this project together and can take most of the credit of it looking uniform.

Can someone clear something up that I was wondering about, through san diego was that originally 3 or 4 tracks? It looked to me as if they had slated 2 of them for the use of the tramway. I just wondered if that occurred in a general running down of passenger traffic into mexico. It looked to me on Google earth as if the tracks went over the border into mexico.

Yeah, I like the scenario where you climb Miramar hill in the dark with a freight train. I was impressed how difficult it was to remain within the speed limits.

Thanks, it was quite a nightmare at times doing the signals. And yes it is difficult to stay quiet, you have no idea how difficult *!twisted!*

Is there anything that fixes the quick horn cutoff? I overwrote the proxyxml that was posted on the first page of this thread, but it made no difference.
