Just as a note, here are the possible activities for this route:

Pacific Surfliner - LA-SD
Metrolink Orange County Line - LA-Oceanside
Coaster - Oceanside-SD
BNSF - LA-SD
UP - LA Area

Yup! That's been my thoughts too! This route is shaping up to be the best NA route for TS yet IMHO.
( Of course I'm biased toward coastal, urban, mixed use passenger/commuter/freight routes lined with palm trees! )

And some Metrolink and Coaster trainsets, of course! (I'm not very familiar with what equipment they use).

You have any idea how much that route would be if it included ALL of the above? It'd easily be 100 dollars.

.... Or maybe more like $180 at the current rate for most RSC repaints and routes :-)

That said I've bought ALL of the US content and much of the German and UK stuff....

UP is not common in the LA-SD part of the Surfline.

Didn't know that. What freight trains do run on the LA-San Diego route, anyway (besides the trains running on the San Bernardino sub)?
